Ward Sutton creates posters for musicians such as Pearl Jam, Phish, The Tragically Hip, Pavement, Beck, Mudhoney, The Family Values Tour, Radiohead and many more. He has also created posters for the Sundance Film Festival, the Seattle Seahawks, and for Broadway, including John Leguizamo's "Freak."

He creates illustrations for such publications as Rolling Stone, GQ, The New York Times, MAD Magazine, and many more.

He creates cartoons for The New Yorker, The Boston Globe, The Village Voice, Politico, The Los Angeles Times, The Nation, and many more. In 2018, he won the Herblock Prize for Editorial Cartooning.

His work has been recognized by American Illustration, The Society of Illustrators, The Society of Publication Designers, The Society of News Design, The Minnesota Page One Awards, and more.

He grew up mainly in Minnesota, lived in Seattle in the early 90's, then in NYC for 20 years, then Costa Rica for 2. He now resides in Colorado.
